Coaching ideas for group size of 7 and fewer?

Hi, I coach an Over 30's female side. We have lost 6 of our 7 games, drawing the other. I only get about 7 to training AT MOST and struggle to find any good plans for these 7 or so. The numbers go as low as 3 and is extremely offputting and distressing. They only train for an hour. Any suggestions?

With low numbers you best to concentrate on technique based training and small sided possession games 2v2 - 2v2 +1 (+1 is neutal player that acts as extra player for team in possession) 3v3 - 3v3 +1 those sort of games.

You could also teach fundamentals of positions like how to defend in a 1v1 ie show correct body postion and how to hold a player up to allow for other team members to recover. Work on recieving the ball and opening up the body when recieving these sort of things can be worked on with low numbers

I agree. With those low numbers it is difficult to teach a game strategy etc. keep it to the fundamentals and technical aspect and develop the individual players.

i agree with the above answers, you cant workon much more with such small numbers. What is more important is to find out from the players why so few of them are showing up for training? Is it something to do with the coaching or more importantly, is it worth your while giving up your free time when so many of them don't bother? Just a few questions. After all, you must be getting frustrated as well as the players who are showing up.

yes,Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work. Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision, It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results,The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it. something made those 3 player stay "comittment"  use it to advantage and change your method of teaching don't 4get it all about fun.   thanks

Thanks guys for your feedback, I really appreciate it. Also happy to see two of the four responses were from my own compatriots, even though I live away from home.

I will let you all know how I go!
