Hi there,
Beating a high press without being able to go long will force your team to be brave with their passing.
Try this drill attached to get your players comfortable with passing into tight areas and receiving the ball under pressure.
When a team presses high, this often means that there will be more space in between the defensive, midfield and forward lines to exploit. Therefore, it's important your players understand how to move effectively to offer a passing option.
This drill is great for exactly this. The overload of attackers helps the success rate to build confidence and then you can gradually add in more members of the pressing team to make it more game realistic.
Adapt the set up slightly to make it more specific to the goal keeper starting with the ball. However essentially, you want your players to make the area a big as possible to create space to pass into and play through the high press.
I hope this helps!
