The drill consists of 3 boxes with 3 players ( attackers) in each of the end boxes, the remaining players (defenders) are in the middle box. The object of this drill is to keep possession and make 3 passes (attackers) before passing the ball to the opposite end box Where they have to do the same and then pass the ball back. The players in the middle box are defenders and are pressuring the outside boxes (attackers ) in to making a mistake or even steal the ball. Play starts with the coach passing the ball into one of the end boxes, as soon as one of the attackers have touched the ball one of the defenders from the middle box can enter the end box and try to gain the ball or force the attacker to make a mistake. Once the attackers have combined 3 passes ( as a minimum) then they can pass the ball across the middle box to the end box. At this stage the players in the middle box can not interfere with the ball crossing their box.once the pass has been delivered across to the other end box the defender can resume his position back in the middle box. Now the ball is in the opposite end box another defender from the middle box enters and tries to gain Possesion of the ball and the 3 attacking players must combine 3 passes together before they can cross the ball back to the other end box and so on. If the ball is won by the defenders or they force the attackers to kick the ball out of bounds the two groups involved in the play exchange boxes,
Possession of the ball Good communication Accurate passing Short duration high impact defending Quick transistion from passing to attaking ( through ball) Good first touch
