2 Practices to run alongside one another for a session with 14 players.
Grid Size for both Practices is 30m x 20m.
Practice1. 4v4 possession
4 blues in top half of the grid have possession of ball.
The 2 reds defend as a team to win back posession. When they win back possession they transition to bottom half of grid.
2 blue players transition to defend in bottom half of grid.
Practice2. 4v2 Attacking & Defending.
4 Blue players are playing it out from back with the aim of walking it through the gated cones at bottom of grid.
The 2 red players are defending and if they win the ball back there aim is to attack and score into big goal.
Practice 1
Communication.
Team in possession create width & Depth.
Move to make angles for the pass.
Accuracy & weight of pass.
Defenders work as a team to win ball back.
Transition quickly when ye win ball back (move ball forward).
Practice 2.
Blue team
Create width and depth.
Make an angle for the pass.
Penetrating runs on and off the ball.
Ensure there is cover to defend if ye lose possession.
If ye lose possession nearest man closes and rest of team regain shape.
Red Team
Defend together as a team to reduce workload.
Transition quickly to attack when ye win posession (move ball forward, get shot off).
