Set up as shown. 3 midfielder, 2 wingers and striker.
Cones set up as 4 defenders and 2 midfielders.
Attackers have to create goalscoring opportunities through different patterns.
6 plays one-two with 8. 6 plays to 9, 7 has come more central to receive pass from 9. 8 has made a run in behind the left back and now receives through ball from the 7.
7 plays ball across goal for 9 and 11 who have made run into the box. 7 is at the edge of the box for cut back.
Run again using the left sided players.
Progression is to add other patterns.
Second progression to add defenders.
Players have to get away from the cones/defenders to create space and show for the ball.
Attackers involved should never be standing still, always looking to come to the ball, or make a run in behind.
