DESCRIPTION

  1. Coach feeds the ball in to player 1 who plays it back to coach (1-2)
  2. Coach plays ball the opposite side of mannequin for player 1 to run on to.
  3. Player 1 dribbles towards next mannequin and performs a skill to go past before shooting at goal.
  4. Player 1 runs back to perform 1-3 again but going the opposite side of the mannequins.
  5. Player 1 runs round mannequin furthest from goal before receiving a pass from player 2 then dribbling at mannequin, performing a skill and shooting.
  6. Player 1 repeats step 5 but receives ball from player 3.
  7. Player 1 runs back around mannequin furthest from goal then uses intelligent movement to go past mannequin nearest goal to creat space before receiving ball from player 4 and performing a first time finish.
  8. Repeat step 7 but receive ball from player 5 for first time finish.

Rotate through the players so everyone has a turn in each position

COACHING POINTS

  1. Once beaten defender get a shot away early - don't give defender time to recover
  2. Choose which part of your foot to strike the ball with depending on where you are and what type of finish is needed (placement or power)
  3. Head/knee over the ball to keep it down.
  4. Try to finish in bottom corners (you can never shoot too low but you can shoot too high)
