Activity 1: 4 Boxes

DESCRIPTION

Players divided into 4 teams
Each team to an area or "box" on each side of the field
All the footballs arranged in the middle of the field

  • Players run to the middle, one at a time from each team, and dribble a ball back to their box.
  • Player running must hold a bib, others must remain in their area until active player returns to the box and hands the bib to the next player

(5mins)

Progress to 4 Boxes: Raid

  • Players running to opposition's boxes to take their ball and dribble it back to their own box. (NO DEFENDING OR PASSING). 3 minute rounds

(10minutes)

Water Break (5 minutes)

Progress to 4 Boxes: Tag

divide field into 4, Introduce a "JAIL" for all teams

  • Same rules as the Raid, progression is If a player runs into the section your team is located, you can tag the player and freeze them in your "Jail".
  • Player can only be unfrozen if a teammates tags them out of Jail. Players cannot tag other players in different sections.
