Players work in pairs with 1 ball between them.
1 player is the defender and 1 is the attacker
Cones are placed approx 1M apart.
The attacker needs to try to score a goal by dribbling through any of the cones whilst the defender is trying to shield them away from the goal and make a tackle.
Attackers can dribble through the cones in either direction.
Players work for 90secs/2mins before changing roles
If the defender wins the ball then they need to pass it straight back to the attacker for the drill to continue
DEFENDERS
Need to get body position between goal and player
Need to get body sideways on and try to push attacer away from goal or onto their weaker side.
Keep low centre of gravity to help change of direction
ATTACKERS
Try and change direction and use pace to create opportunities to dribble the ball through the cones
