Defenders try to prevent the attackers breaking through the gates to create a 1v1 with the GK. They can't retreat past the 18 yard box. If the defenders win the ball the play into the centre circle.

Allow defenders to retreat into 18 yard box.
Defenders need to be compact. Need to be able to drop off and cover his team mates.
Get low, side on, forcing the attacker away from the danger zone.
Be patient nad disciplined. Don't dive in.
