Attack and defence:
4 reds line up on 1 cone each across the pitch near to half way line as Midfielders feeding (all have 1 ball each).
4 blues line up across the edge of box as defenders.
4 yellows line up as the attacking team.
Play starts when red player 1 feeds a ball in to the left sided attacker, play then ensues where the yellows have to try and score by either getting a shot off early or playing passes around and behind the defenders for attackers to make runs and score.
Once the ball goes dead by either a goal/missed shot or defenders win ball and play back to a red, red player 2 then plays into next attacking yellow to repeat the process.
This process is repeated for all 4 balls.
Rotate teams after all 4 balls been completed.
Progression:
Red player who passses into yellows can then join attack to make it 5v4.
Can use this to focus on defence or attack.
To focus on defense, the nearest defender should close ball down as quick as possible, the other defenders should look to cover and mark other attackers.
To focus on attacking, have players overlap and make diagonal runs, and get shots off as much as possible.
