This is player vs player and interception drilll set up
2 vs 1 drill
multiple boxes(5x5) side by side
3 in a box
5 - 10 minutes
Start with the ball with the team of 2 players after the first pass.
The objective is to try and keep the ball away from the single player by passing and moving the ball.
The single player is trying to win the ball.
If the single player wins the ball the player that lost the ball will then switch places.
Play will resume after the first pass.
Dribble past 2 players then dribble and pass back with team mate.
Teams of 2
4 boxes(5X10) in a row(multiple row dependent on group size)
10 - 15 minutes
This is an advancement drill.
A 2 player team will split at both ends of boxes with another 2 player team split between the middle boxes.
The object of the drill is the ball starts at an outer box the player starting will try to dribble past 1 player at a time advancing boxes, middle team players must stay in their zone. once you advance to the other side you will turn with your teammate then dribble and pass your way to the start, one you make it back to the start, the next team will go
If at any time you lose the ball you will replace the middle team and the next team will go.
Interception and positional play

12 boxes (5x10) 3 rows of 4
10-15 minute drill
3 teams will be split up across each row.
The ball will start on an outer row.
The object of the teams is to pass across your row to open space for a pass to the other side. You must stay in your box.
The team in the middle are moving about trying to intercept any passes across and are the only team allowed to move across their row.
If the team in the middle intercept the ball they will switch places with the team that lost the ball.
Play will resume on the other side.
Player vs player transition drill
Teams and how many areas will vary dependent on group size(min 6 players)
2 boxes
1 outer(20x20), players 1vs2, 1vs3, 2vs3, 2vs4
1 inner(10x10), players 2vs4, 2vs5, 3vs6, 4vs6
More areas if group of 12 or more.
The ball will start within the inner box with the larger team.
The objective is to try and keep the ball away from the smaller team/player by passing and moving the ball within the inner box.
The small team/player is trying to win the ball.
If the small team/player wins the ball they will then try to play the ball to a player in the outer box.
The smaller team now joins the outside players in keeping ball away from the other team who are now the smaller team.
If the other team wins they must get it back into the inner box to then reset the game with a change of players in each area, some players may be required to stay in the same area but all outside players must move to the middle.
