DESCRIPTION

Used in the lead up to bowling off short or full run. Can be useful for alignment and keeping weight towards target:

  1. Line feet up as you would normally do in your delivery action - on the bowling crease
  2. Start your action and deliver ball
  3. Transfer weight towards target - front shoulder and head should finish forward and towards the stumps at the other end of the pitch

COACHING POINTS

  • Make sure you line your feet, shoulders and head towards your target
  • Drive back leg in delivery
  • Drive head forwards and finish your action completely
  • Check that your feet align after delivery to finish your action, not rotate across your body too far
