Warm up drill
Players wear full batting gear, no bat.
Set cones and stumps as indicated. Cones in front of the batsman are about two steps from the back cone.
Start timer, batsman starts from back cone and advances to each cone in turn, tapping each cone as they arrive then to the back cone and tapping again.
Batsman will go left to right and back again for the duration of the exercise.
Practice advancing down pitch while also warming up.
Teaches quick foot work.
60-90 second duration.
