DESCRIPTION

Set up

  • 4 cones (red) on the offside in 4 offside positions, 3rd man, point, cover, mid off.
  • 4 cones (blue) on the legside in 4 legside positions, fine leg, square leg, mid wicket, mid on.
  • 2 sets of stumps to show where the fielding positions are to the stumps.

Task 1

  • Coach to shout out fielding positions, players to run to the positions
  • after a few goes players will start to be eliminated for being the last to the position

task 2

  • 2 groups (depending on numbers), a member from each group is to race another to the fielding position. points awarded for being the 1st to the position.
