DESCRIPTION

  1. Setup:
  • Mark a "target zone" on the pitch where the bowler should aim to pitch the ball.
  • For beginners, use a larger zone (e.g., 1-meter square).
  • For advanced bowlers, use smaller targets (e.g., a towel or a shoe).
  • Divide the target zone based on lengths: full-length, good-length, or short-pitch areas.
  1. How It Works:
  • The bowler starts their usual run-up and delivers the ball, aiming to hit the target zone.
  • After each ball, assess whether it landed in the target zone.
  • Bowlers can adjust their line, length, or grip based on feedback.

Drill Progression:

  1. Basic:
  • Start with just hitting the target consistently. Track how many times out of 10 deliveries the bowler lands the ball in the zone.

  • Turn it into a fun challenge by seeing which bowler can hit the target the most times in a set number of deliveries (e.g., 10 balls).
