A lot of my mates ainât as committed as me, was wondering if there is much I can do to improve my skills alone?

HI Josh,
It`s great to be committed to improving alone. There are some great individual drills you can use to improve your coordination and dribbling techniques.
Getting used to having the ball at your feet will improve your close control so that when it comes to game play, your ability to keep the ball away from oncoming defenders will set you apart.
Also, there are plenty of shooting and passing drills that you can use to improve. Stand opposite a wall and kick the ball against it then receive the ball back, practice your first touch to receive it on the turn and then look to play a pass to a set target.
Being able to pass on the turn is vital, including pre-scanning when the ball is coming to you. This is a great opportunity to get into the habit of that without any pressure on you.
When you go into the gameplay, and checking your shoulders when the ball comes to you will allow you to have a good image of the pitch so you can take your first touch into space to then pass quickly to keep the sting in attacks.
Keep up the work outside of your training and your commitment will soon show results!
