Goalkeeper - Reactions and Reflexes

Your goalkeeper is the last line of defence, and every keeper loves to keep a clean sheet. To improve the physical and mental strength of your keeper(s) this session has a variety of structured conditioning and reaction drills including:

  • Touch the cone speed reaction warm up
  • Saving power strikes and parrying them to safety (even with a partially obstructed view)
  • Moving sideways from post to post at speed (ideal for double save practice)

Use these match-like practices to develop your outfield players' shooting while importantly developing you keeper's ability to get back onto their feet quickly and their all-round keeping technique.
