Whether you're introducing young, header-shy players to this skill or working with developing players' heading accuracy there's something for everyone in this fun heading skills session.
Using your head in football is an essential skill for shifting the ball and is second only to using your feet. Headers can help you rise above the goalkeeper to score and can give you the edge when clearing your lines.
What's in the Session?
To give your players a headstart we open this session with a quick recap of the basic technique before looking at position specific heading, giving players the chance to practice their attacking and defensive heading. After this we get players working in pairs before finishing with a heading game and an attacking the ball from a cross exercise.
Don't have a team of ducking players, use this session to give your players the confidence to jump and meet the ball with their head!
