Community | Square Drill - Pick Up and Throw

Glenn Powell Coach, Australia

DESCRIPTION

Set up a square with yellow cones 18m x 18m. On the outside of this square place red cones 10m further back. In the centre of the square place a cone with a ball on it or alternatively a single stump to aim at. The yellow markers indicate where the ball can be thrown and then collected from. The red markers are where the players start from and then retreat back to after their turn. The red players start the drill by throwing at the all at the target, he then retreats to the red marker. The first player in the line opposite runs in, fields the ball and throws back at the target where the drill continues whit the next player in line.
