Aim of the drill is to manipulate the ball in areas that are marked with the cones (General spaces in field) Coach will either set up bowling machine or feed over arm or under arm balls depending on skill level of batsman. Before the ball is fed to the batsman the coach will call out a colour where the ball is to be manipulated. If possible the coach will have balls that are different colours matching the cone colours.
Ensure correct head and foot movement. make sure its not just hacking ball around bet a commited proper cricket shot under control. this is slow pace baoling so the use of feet to get in correct spot is vital. Moving across the stumps to hit leg side, giving self room to hit off side, moving back in crease or advancing down the wicket.
