1, 2, 3 Pass and Move Passing ...

There are two triangles in this drill, both using the same top point player (player 5). Players in the top triangle pass in an anti-clockwise direction and players in the lower triangle pass in a clock-wise direction. Both pairs of players must use the middle player as their third passing option.

2 touch 3's Passing Passing an...

Set up as shown with 2 cones (the disatance of which between can be modified depending on ability or challenge you want to set your players). 1 player on each cone and 1 player in the middle, 1 ball between the 3. Players always take 2 touches, the ball is moved from one end, into the middle man and then to the other end before the sequence is repeated from the other side.

Movement to Receive 2 Passing ...

Set up as shown with 2 players and 1 ball between the two.The area should be a 4x4 square, however the shape and size can be modified depending on the level of your players and the main aspect movement to receive that you want to achieve.Play begins with the internal player making movement to receive the ball and then exiting the square. Once they exit the square the player on the far end makes a pass into the middle player who controls and passes back.The sequence is repeated with the middle player making a new movement to receive on a different side of the square.The far end player should move away from the ball after he makes a pass and then move towards the ball when the pass is played towards him.

Set up a 3 vs. 3 game in a quarter of the pitch. Each team elects a goalkeeper. This player is allowed to use their hands in the defensive end zone. They are not allowed to stay inside the defensive area and must also go forward as an outfield player during attacks on the opposing goal. A team must make at least 2 passes before they can shoot on goal. Award 3 points for every successful pass and 5 points for every goal. The first team to 21 points wins.

3 players run down the pitch, passing and interchanging to finish with a shot at goal. Player in the middle starts with the ball. They pass the ball to one of the outside players and overlaps around them. The second player passes the ball to the player on the other side and overlaps around them. Each player receives the ball from the same player every time and they should overlap around the player they pass to.

Player 1 starts with the ball. The ball is played in with pace to the feet of player 2. As the ball is played in player 2 moves to the ball, and with their first touch aim to bring the ball inside and round the defender. The same can be done on the outside towards the touch line.

Three players stand behind 1 corner of the grid each. The ball is played to a player on one of the cones. <br />The ball cannot be passed diagonally. The spare player must move to give the ball carrier a second passing option.

The object of the game is to dribble to each of the gates in the area. Once a pair reaches the gate, they must play the ball through the cones 3 times back and forth before moving onto the next gate.If another ball is struck or a cone is moved 1 penalty point is occured. Score 3 points for each gate successfully negotiated.

Player 1 passes the ball to one of the cones for player 2 to receive the ball and pass it back after this player 1 passes the ball to the opposite cone and player 2 again receives the ball and passes it back. Complete ten passes before swapping positions.<br />Cones should not be put to far apart.

2 Players transfer the ball from right to left at the same time. It is important for players to receive the ball from the player on their right. They should move closer to the passer. On receiving the ball, the first touch should be played towards the intended pass. Once the ball is transferred the player runs back to transfer the next ball.

Divide players into 2 teams of 6. Take 2 players from each team and have them hold a shirt between them to form a floating goal. The remaining 8 players play 4 v 4. 2 balls in play at once.The object of the game is to score in your teams goal as the floaters move around the area trying to get close to the ball. A goal is scored by a pass, header or shot in the goal. Players can score on both sides of the goal.Develop to using only one ball.Develop to 2 touch only.

Kids are very slow and lack re...

Hello all! My kids aged 9 and 7 are very slow when compared to their peers of the same age. They don't seem to fight for the ball and get and watch others play their game. They seem to lack the urgency (heart) needed for the game. (They LOVE football). How can make them move around and react faster. Any help you are able to provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks O
