DESCRIPTION

SKILL FOCUS: Stamina & fielding skills.                                                  

EQUIPMENT: Marker cones and a tennis ball.

WHAT TO DO:

Setup:

  • Place 4 marker cones in a square 20 meters apart.

 Playing the game:

  • The learners will run clockwise around the 4 pillar cones.
  • The teacher/coach will stand between cone 1 and 4 with a tennis ball.
  • The coach will roll or bounce the ball for the learners between cone 2 and 3.
  • When they are receiving the ball they need to field and through to the coach.
  • Play the game a few minutes and then let them run anti-clockwise.
  • You can place wickets next to you as the coach where they need to aim to through the wickets.

COACHING POINTS

This is a easy game to develop skills in fielding and stamina.
