Give me a progression for shooting
Hi Janez, here's a progression for shooting that you can use to enhance your players' skills:
Dribble, Drive and Strike: Players dribble through cones, control the ball, and shoot into the far corner. This helps in controlling the ball and shooting under pressure.
1v1 - First Touch and Striker Accuracy: Players dribble at pace, control the ball, and shoot through mini goals. Focus on accuracy before power.
Pass and Follow to Shoot: Players pass to a feeder, receive a layoff, and shoot. Emphasize hitting the target and practicing shooting from both sides.
Clinical Finishing: A 3v3 game focusing on timing runs and finishing with limited touches in the end zone.
Strikers Space: A 3v2 scenario transitioning to a 2v1 in the attacking zone, encouraging quick decision-making and shooting.
These drills will help your players improve their shooting technique, accuracy, and decision-making under pressure.
in more ways than one
