is this post a joke Zach? Ha ha, maybe your level of communication might not be appropriate for the age of your team. Are you trying to be their friend or are you coaching tough? You aren't there to be popular, but you do need to have their respect.
I am rarely liked at the begining of a coaching season as the girls I coach are not use to rules and disiplin, but I can tell you they all ask for me again the year after for they know i love my sport and am honest with my feedback. if you are trying to be their friend, and just muck around then they will not respect you or do as you ask. if you are too hard and they dont believe you know your stuff then you will have the same result. the level of information you have given does not really allow anyone to give you any feedback as to why you may not be getting the results or respect from your team.
