Dear Shiv

In response to your question, my advice for bowling leg spin (or any spin for that matter) at the death when the batters are trying to 'slog' the ball, would include the following%3A

* Try not to bowl both sides of the wicket - bowling one side means you can  set a field easier

* Avoid bowling two lengths, (ie full and short). Bowl full and you can set a field for this.

* Avoid bolwing to batters strengths. If they like hitting on the leg side, then you can afford to bowl the ballwider outside off stump. At the same time if the batter prefers the offside, you can straighten your line or maybe bowl around the wicket

* Be brave- if the batter is hitting you, don't always look to fire the ball in with extra pace. Take the pace off it, giving him more work to do himself.

I have attached a drill you can do to work on a specific area you want to bowl. Hope this helps!

Hitting a Target

DESCRIPTION
The practice should be setup as shown. Have one player as a wicket keeper and another as fielder. The bowlers take it in turns to bowl, with the fielder calling if the ball was a good line (pitched in the cones) or a good length (pitched level with the red hoop). If the ball pitches in the hoop then the ball is both a good line and length.

Tom is correct, if a batsman hits you for six bowl the next ball on the same line very slightly slower this has two effects , the ball drops ilittle shorter and the batsman will have made his shota bit too early causing him to sky the ball  If you are still in trouble he is just slogging , bowl leg break-s on a good length uotside the line of the off stump with as much turn as you can, he probably will not get his front footproperly across  and with the ball gowing away there is a good chance of catching an edge.
