sir! i'm left handed batsmen, struggle to play good length balls.
A batter struggling to play good length balls is also one that is not too sure whether they should front foot shots or whether they should be playing back foot shots to certain balls. To play a good length ball you really need to be able to decide what line it is before deciding a shot, if the ball is outside off then you will probably want to cut the ball, if the ball is coming towards the stumps then the best you will want to do is decide if you would be more comfortable playing a back foot or front foot drive , then leg-side depending on how the ball bounces, you will want to cut or sweep the ball.
this may seem a bit generic but recently i was coached to just try and think basically about shots and not to try and be to complicated about playing shots, also i was advised to get someone to just do as many throw-downs that we can on a certain line or length and just practice and also think about it mentally, I do a lot and it helps, pick up a bat and shadow play, imagine good length balls and how you would play them, hope that helps you
Ask again if it isnt suffiicent for you
also try your hardest
