Hit the ball
Great feedback Alex, not sure why you bother
Manoj - from personal experience when I was getting out LBW alot, it was my head positioning, It was to far back - Try getting your head forward to the ball
Start with doing a few underarm drills, where your feet are stationary and making sure you head goes forward to the ball
Great feedback Shaun, not sure why you bother
From personal experience you need to ensure that you are not trying to play the ball with a shot that you may not be comfortable with, this can often lead to not playing the ball well and getting out in a few different ways. As Shaun has said you head needs to be directly above the line in which you want to play the ball, this also applies in a different way to the front foot, it needs to be opened up so you have the ability to play the shot without any interference, this also allows for your whole body and the shot to be channelled in the right direction. In personal experience I have found that whatever direct the foot is pointing that is most likely the direction that you will be playing the ball. Also make sure that you know where you want to hit the ball and how hard and where the ball is going to land and bounce, etc. this will influence how you play the shot and how successful the shot is, also it is helpful if you don`t premeditate the shot that you are going to play as this can be how a bowler changes their line and length to take your wicket.
Hope that helps
