Can you help? I really want to improve my bowling action? Please watch my Youtube video below...
Thank you.
It's a bit hard to tell from your video. Around the 30 sec mark you run straight towards the camera and the change direction in your delivery stride and angle away towards the right side of the screen. Is this your normal action or have you changed it because you didn't want to bowl at your camera?
If it is your normal action then you need to straighten it out. If you bowled like that because of the camera, try posting an updated video without the ball. Because you veer away from the camera I can't see the position of your feet or where your arms are in relation to your head and body. To show this you need to be bowling at the camera and you don't necessarily need a ball to show that.
Focus on your running tecnique.....and loading of you bowling arm...
do not copy brettlee or any other...follow your natural rhythm ..anil kumble started out as fast bowler and later turned to spin.everybody cannot be kapil dev or srinath...it takes lot of dedication discipline and determination.Your run up itself is wrong....you are not looking through your bowling arm at your target and lokking down as you leave the ball ...observe michael holding's action ,kapil dev or dennis lillee ...shift to leg spin is my suggestion
Dear Gaurav, If you want to adopt some of the great fastbowlers action,
its good. Dennis lillie, Micheal holding & Allan Donald. Try to get their videos and practice.. mark the run up according your convenience and see how you can develop skills according to the visuals.....
A bowling change can dismantle a partnership, halt a run surge, or hand the match back to the batting side. T20 data shows that teams bowling 40 or more dot balls win more than 65 per cent of matches. Strike rotation is now the most undervalued skill in batting. This article breaks down why singles matter more than sixes, the soft-hands and crease-depth techniques behind elite rotators, and a coaching framework to train relentless ones and twos under pressure.
Pre-season is the best time to rebuild and refine batting technique without the pressure of match results. This article covers the fundamental batting positions that underpin consistent run-scoring, provides a progressive session framework from shadow batting to live bowling, and highlights the common pre-season mistakes that coaches should avoid.
