Hello sir i am left arm orthdox spinner... I want you you to tell me the drills that can help me to bowl in good line and length.. and also how to ball an arm ball
Hi Hamza,
Here`s a good drill which you can use to practice bowling a good line and length. Having to pitch the ball over the stumps before the batsmen will mean than you can practice bowling with flight but also pitching the ball at a good length. To bowl an arm ball, you need to turn your wrist slightly so that on release, the seam of the ball is facing directly down the wicket. This will mean that instead of spinning, the ball will go straight onto the batsman. I hope this was helpful!
Matt
Hi Hamza
To practice line and length i would suggest using six or more cones (depending on how many different lines and lengths) and then setting out the line or length you want, for example you could set out for line, outside off, the stumps, and outside leg, or for length you could do short, fuller length, and yorker length
Hope that helps
