Batting against Leg and Off-Spin

Rating: 4
from 3 members ratings

In this session we cover the basic techniques for batting against off and leg spin to provide an attacking option for your batsmen against this type of tricky bowling.

When playing against spin your batters should be positive, patient and have a game plan up their sleeve to put the pressure back onto the bowler. To help your players, this week's session gives your players the chance to practice in the nets and asks them to think about three important questions when at the crease:

  1. Which was is the ball turning?
  2. Where is my easy single coming from?
  3. What is my attacking option on this wicket?

The key lessons in this session are: stay positive, watch the spin, step out, keep your head still, play the ball along the ground... and take each ball as it comes!
