DESCRIPTION

  • With Hurdles Set out in a star shape
  • The player stats at the middle cone and runs to the first hurdle; jumps over it, and then runs back to the middle
  • Repeat all the way around the star.

    Slalom Run | Hurdles

    Slalom Run:

    Set out a line of hurdles or cones on the floor.

    Player need to run in and out of the obstacles as quickly as possible using short side-steps and fast feet.

    Sideways Running | Hurdles

    Sideways Running:

    Facing left and then right, get your players to run sideways over the hurdles, taking two steps in betwen every pair of hurdles.

    High Skips | Hurdles

    High Skips:

    Use the size of hurdle appropriate for the age and ability of your athlete.

    Athlete jumps off one leg over the hurdle landing on the same leg.
    The jumping leg should be straight if possible.

    Side Jumps | Hurdles

    Side Jumps:

    One hurdle per player.

    Players jump with both feet together over and back again over their one hurdle.
