Two teams of 7+1 with GK (if two GKS one in goal and one as part of drill and swap every five minutes). Four players from each team inside box + 1 floater & 3 players from each team around outside of grid. Set up in double 18 yard box. When team is in possession it creates an 8v4. One team attacks goal using their wall players and the other attempt to win ball and then maintain possession using their wall players. Once an inside player passes to a wall player, they swap places. Swap floater every two minutes. Each team gets a minimum of 8 minutes attacking the goal. Progressions: Players on outside are on one touch. Introduce competition - who can score the most goals in a limited time (not just possession for possession sake) Once defending team win ball back, they can work it to end player (furthest from goal) and then immediately attack the goal, and other team shape to defend.
Defending team - Quick transition when they win the ball back, can they move their possession higher up the pitch. Movement of players - ensuring that pass is on to remain in possession. Stretch play making keeping possession easier defending team have to work harder to get ball back, but always have deep player to provide cover for possession breaking down. Attacking team - Sharp movements to create space for passing and shots. Check shoulder to maximise perception of what is on - pictures High tempo passing to stretch defenders and create opportunities to score. Runs to create space for others.
