what are the skills/tactics of a wicket keeper?
This depends on what you are doing behing the stumps. If standing up to spin or medium pace you must always be aware of the stumping. Personally, I always expect the batmans to miss the ball so have my gloves in the area the ball will go if they miss. If the batsmen do miss the ball always remove the bails and appeal for the stumping, as long as it remains within the spirit of the game. Of course some choice words to the batsmen can sometimes put them off. I am not encouraging sledging though. Hope the helps.
