my foot work is excellent but i have a poor timing please give me easy tips to improve my timing.
Keep two cones 2mts parallel and stand behind 1m from the cone and go for fast front foot defence action alternately
I believe 2 things add to poor timing.
1. Top hand not strong enough through shot.
2. No balance through shot which results in momentum being lost while executing shot. eg. When playing a front foot drive, the back foot should be anchored the whole time during the shot. If it is not then momentum is lost and so is timing.
In summary. Practice playing different shots over and over again but concentrate on balance . Using the front foot drive again. Practice standing in the completed drive position while someone is throwing you balls to drive. Making sure not to move your back foot and keeping balance.
