As West Indian cricketer Larry Gomes once told me, "Have nothing in your mind, when the bowler is approaching the wicket to bowl". He coached me that after the training was done and when one was at the wicket, it was time to let instinct prevail. Larry had asked me, "what are you thinking about when the bowler is coming up to bowl"? I replied with a number of my busy-minded points, rattling off three or four items... He said, "Man, have nuttin' in your mind"...
I advise you to forget pressure, clear your head, trust your instincts and on the day, just play cricket.
thanks
