try extending your arm as much as you can and always follow through to keep the momentum. try move your arm through as fast as possible i hope that helps

The best ways to increase your speed are the balanced runup and balance delivering action you must have a good follow through to take your bowling speed at high. Also for more speed increase your arm srength and your stemina.

Harsh, you can get 5-10% benefit by focusing on your wrist and pushing the ball with it in your delivery. I also recommend strengthening legs, if you have a strong base and core it helps considerably

how to play slog sweep

Mukesh NarulaCoach, Canada

In order to bowl faster, you must check the basics, all your levers - your head, front shoulder, hip, front arm and your front leg/ toe must be aligned in the direction of the batsman. The will definately help with better balance which will help in increasing the speed

Keith DawkinsCoach, Romania

Brace the front leg. If the front leg collapses on delivery, the pace generated by run up, is dissipated into the ground. Also, have a good lean back on delivery, and as mentioned a cocked wrist also helps with that extra few KMH.

Try recording your self bowling an over.. From the front or back, and from the side (!)! You can send it to me, I'll have a look and try give useful respond - or else go to your Development Officer in your country %3A) Hard to say what you have to improve in order to gain more pace, when neither of us now YOUR style - and strength/weaknesses.

There is also a new device out there called the 'Sports performance buddy'. It costs about £35 and is basicly a harness attached to bungy cords that attach to your wrists. A guy by the name of Gerry Crawford has developed it and has used it with different county sides to improve both pace and accuracy. It has different strength bands depending on skill level and if you contact him directly through his website he will even come out and do a session with you to show you all its uses.

This is a very big question as there are many things that can help you bowl faster. The things that slow down the speed of bowling can be the front leg collapsing, a lack of chest and hip drive, a lack of drive through the crease, a slow arm, wrist position, and use of the right muscles and levers with the arms. I'd recommend the Fast Bowlers Bible by Ian Pont as that goes through a lot of it. The most common faults in youngsters I've seen is the collapsed front leg and the lack of drive through the crease but the trouble is that everyone is an individual and without a video its hard to see what the problem is
