Hi,

Would have been helpful if you could have described more of your problem.

However, assuming you are good at your foot work (front foot/back foot), my answer is below.

1. Check if you are too high on the back lift. Reduce it to match the speed of the ball.

Initially you may feel that you are loosing power, but with practice you will get the power back. And you can use the pace of the ball.
Try to get your bat top down and offer full blade to the ball.

2. Your foot is near the ball but it is also important that your shoulder traces the line of the ball first. There is no point in bringing the foot if the ball is already passed.

3. Practice stationary shots.Normally on the front foot the following shots are possible.
 1.Front foot cover drive
 2.Front foot on drive.
 3.Front foot off drive.
 4.Front foot straight drive.
Keep 4 balls in front foot position to practice above shots.
And hit it hard and with lot of bat speed in it.

4. There is a chance that you are playing across. As a result you are not mating the ball and feel that your bat speed is less. Practice straight bat shots.

5. While excercising use resistance bands. Dont use a lot of free weights. It will slow you down.

6. Eyesight--You should have a good eyesight in order to play fast/faster balls. Track the ball when the bowler releases it until it pitches and then follow the sequence--
Shoulder First--Foot Second--Bat Third.

Remember to practice 100+ shots if you are really serious getting to a good level.

Cheers,
Praful
