i am fast bowler,i have crossed 14.i am getting tired soon by taking long runup can anyone give me suggestion for this?
You should increase your stamina by jogging and no need to take long runup, take short runup but run fast in your runup...
There are two things that come to mind Abhinav.
1. Is the length of your run up appropriate to the speed you are bowling at? If it`s too long, reduce the length of your run up. Have a talk to an experience player and get his assessment.
2. Are you as fit as you need to be to continue as a fast bowler?
Get fitter. If you really want to be a fast bowler get out and run at least 2-3 Km most days. Have a rest the day before a game and the day after if you`ve had a hard game, but make sure you run on the other days. Training by bowling in the nets for around an hour at least twice a week at your age is needed for your bowling fitness and skill development.
Hi Abhinav, It depends on the type of bowler you are. Are you an express fast bowler or are you simply taking too long a run up for your speed. Get a senior player to look at your run up and delivery and give you some advice on the length of your run up.
Are you fit? Fast bowling requires you to be a very fit person. At your age you should be doing some running every day except for the day before a match and on match day. Someone your age should be runnning 2 or 3 Km a day depending on the time you have available. You should also be bowling in the nets twice a week for between 45 to 60 minutes. The fitter you are will enable you to be a better bowler for a longer period of the game.

This article breaks down why singles matter more than sixes, the soft-hands and crease-depth techniques behind elite rotators, and a coaching framework to train relentless ones and twos under pressure.
Pre-season is the best time to rebuild and refine batting technique without the pressure of match results. This article covers the fundamental batting positions that underpin consistent run-scoring, provides a progressive session framework from shadow batting to live bowling, and highlights the common pre-season mistakes that coaches should avoid.
