cut shot cricket

I need tips and help on playing the cut shot that are closer to the body.

The late cut into third man? I'd recon it requires timing, and either pace from bowler and/or wrist strength.

Your better off playing the lost art of the back foot drive if the ball is too close to the body to cut! If you are still keen to play the cut ensure that you remain side on even when moving back and across and ensure you roll your wrists to keep the ball along the ground.
