can virat kohli be veiwed as a textbook for batting?
Yes, definitely!
yes it canbe
it is good for all young cricketers to get inspiration from him and create something new in this cricket world
Dear Saurav
Good question - Virhat Kolhi is an exceptionaly talented player, you could well describe him as textbook. He plays beautifully straight with his top hand in control, and is equally as comfortabel off both front and back foot.
To be textbook though is interesting- what exactly is textbook and can it be defined? Who decides? Thesea re questions I would always ask oneself when using the term. There is no doubt encruaging our youngsters to play 'by the book' is goo advice, though youngsters must also be encouraged to play their own way. It is by playing the game of cricket your own way (with a little fine tuning yes), that a batter will be most successful.
Some of the best 'textbook' players will never make it to the top. This is because I believe too many other components (tactics and work ethic) are as important.
I hope this helps
Thanks
Tom
