Purchase a cricket batting mat,I have used one today and it is the best thing I have used to coach children of all ages.The mat comes with different size poles and positions to play nearly every shot. the ball sits still on the top of the plastic pole, so does not move. I have been coaching years, this is the best thing I have used.It can be used on most surfaces.Google cricket batting mats, and see the video clips. My club have just purchased two mats costing about 185 pounds each. Money very well spent.
