I am bowling with control and accuracy, not giving away runs but don't have that knack of picking wickets that some others have.
Hi Andy,
Although you ideally want to be taking wickets, by tying down one end and not giving away many runs, you are contributing to the wickets coming from the other end. By frustrating the batsmen, you`re forcing them to play poor shots to give away their wicket.
Therefore, you don`t want to change much of what you are doing. But perhaps, maybe creating a bit more variation to not let the batsmen settle on your line and length. Perhaps mix up your pace, the odd faster or slower ball may take them by surprise and pick up a wicket. You can also try rolling your fingers over the ball to create some spin. These balls are called cutters and the variation in direction when it comes off the pitch can really force an edge or a play and miss.
I hope this helps and you begin to pick up some wickets soon enough.
