Back Foot Drive drills
Does anyone have any good drills or game based learning on the back foot drive for 11 year olds?

Hi Tim,
The back foot drive isn`t always a shot that young players are wanting to learn, therefore it`s key to add an element of fun to a drill when you are coaching them the back foot drive. Here`s a good one to use to get them playing the shot whilst adding a competitive element to it. This drill will also encourage the batsmen to hit straight through the V. I hope this helps!

DESCRIPTION
Set up as shown in the diagram Mark out creases and boundary areas with cones. Mark out a V area with cones. Use three sets of stumps. Position incoming batsmen in a safe area behind the stumps - Coach to stand 15 paces away from the batsman. Fielders must be at least 15 metres away from the batsman. The distance the batsman run depends on their age / ability.
