how do i prepare a 5 minute warm up for a batting session
Hi Lee, A warm-up should be about preparing the body and mind for the tasks ahead. With that in mind, think about the muscles (or muscle groups) that are going to be used in the session. Warm these using dynamic stretches after raising the heart rate of the players. This can be acheived with short jogs, then runs, then sprints...notice the progression from gentle exercise to more exersion. This is reversed for warm downs.
You might also think about a short drill prior to the session to activate the players reactions. A game or drill such as running while bouncing a ball on a bat. You could make this competitive by dividing the group into teams and having a race.
Good luck
