Defensive Contacts

To practice coming together players must side-step between the cones. When they come to the close together clones players should come together, jump towards one another and clap hands while jumping up. Players continue this pattern and and then run back to the start.

Defensive stance

As players run forward to defend they should think about their stance and approach: They should take small, fast steps (never jump) to avoid over-committing. Approach diagonally, facing towards the ball, and angling their body to direct their opponent away from the goal area. Keep their arms open, wide and high. Stand on the balls of their feet with knees slightly bent.

Player A takes a ball, dribbles around the cone and tries to score a goal. Then sprints to the next ball on the left and acts in the same way. Defender 1 defends the goalshots by either coming forward or blocking defensively. 6 shots is one series.

A passes to B and runs to left wing position. B passes to A back again. C crosses with A, gets the ball from A and tries to score a goal from the distance when defender 1 is defending defensively.

Shooting, 1:1 or pass to pivot

Pass A to C, C to A and goalshot OR duel 1:1 with defender 1 OR passes to pivot. Defender tries to block the goalshots or defend in a 1:1 duel. Pass B to C, C to B aand goalshot OR duel 1:1 with defender 1 OR passes to pivot. Defender tries to block the goalshots or defend in a 1:1 duel. After the goalshot grab a ball from the corner, dribble to your starting position again.

Blue players step forward and attack their opponent every time he is in possession. Change after 5-8-10 times.

Step Forward Defence

Defenders 1 and 2 step forward to two players in the square, turn around quickly and step forward again. 1. Ball movement from left to right. 2. Ball moves from right to left. 3. Attackers choose their own ball movements.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Players move between the two cones while passing the ball to one another. To move players should side-step, always facing forwards and keeping an eye on the other players.
