Bring and shoot

Pass to the trainer, then start to the wing and pass with wing player, then backwards and forward again to receive pass from the trainer and throw at the goal. Variations: - when thrown at the goal, you stay as a defensive blocker. - when thrown at the goal, you are an active defender who has to be feinted to throw at the goal. - when thrown at the goal, stay as a defender who reacts as he likes.

Cross over and score

Setup as shown, with the player on the far right passing to the player in the middle. The player then crosses with the player on the left who takes a shot at goal. After catching the ball B2 feints as if to go to the right, but changes to the left to cross with B3. B3 first feinst to start to te left, but quickly sprints to the left to cross with B2, catch the ball and throw at the goal. Players swap positions after throwing.

Perfecting the jump shot

Depending on how many hoops are in front of them players run forward in a 1, 2 or 3 step rhythm and throw at the goal. Players rotate to the right after each shot.

Cross-Court Pass and Shoot

Starting on the right backcourt player passes from right to left. When the third player receives the ball on the left wing they should feint (either to go out or to go in) before then running towards the defender and shooting on goal. Defender only blocks (do not come forward) Once they've shot on goal each player rotates to the next position.

Individual goalshots 2

Player A takes the balls and shoots at the goal. Defender 1 tries to make it a bit more difficult to shoot at the goal, but player A can still shoot more ot less freely at the goal.

Jump shot / blocking

Attackers dribble in the direction of the goal and start to perform a jump shot when they reach the 8 meter line and then throw at the goal. The defender should try and block the shot by positioning themselves between the attacker and the goal.

jump shot - during forward run bring up the ball to shoulder height - third step is explosive and large - in the air the hip should go backward together with the throwing arm - pull up other leg untill upper leg is horizontal - screw back the hip - the arm follows this movement explosively to the front - point after the ball where it should go - land on the same leg as you jumped off left hander : right foot for jump off right hander : left foot for jump off variations : - 1,2,3 step rhythm - jump off with your 'wrong' leg

Pass 2 to defender 1, pass back again, meanwhile attacker 1 comes behind attacker 2, receives the ball and shoots. Defender 1 blocks.

Pass B4-B1-B2-B3 who throws at the goal along side of the coming man B4. Changing of positions : B4 goes to position B5, B5 to position B4.

Left and right backcourt shooting 1

A passes to feeder B, sprints around the cones, receives pass from the feeder and throws at the goal. Defenders 1 and 2 try to block the goalshots by only jumping and blocking. They do not come forward. Change position to the right.

Left and right backcourt shooting 2

A passes to feeder B, sprints around the cones, receives pass from the feeder and throws at the goal. Defenders 1 and 2 try to block the shots or come forward, so A has to get past him. Change position to the right.

Quick Switch - Simple Screen

Three groups of players - a group on each wing and a line of three players a couple of meters behind the free-throw line. The play starts from the right wing with player 1 passing the first of the outfield players (player 2). Player 2 moves forward to meet the pass and then plays the ball to their left for player 3 to meet and then across to player 4. During this passing process player 1 must chase the passes across the court - screening to protect the pass and prevent the imaginary defender from receivnig the ball. When player 4 receives the ball they should shoot on goal. The drill then starts from the other side - going from left to right.

shooting match with two teams 1

1    Team 1: A passes to B, A starts for the fast break and receives the pass from B, dribbles towards the goal and makes a goalshot. 2    Team 2: C passes to D, C starts for the fast break and receives the pass from D, dribbles towards the goal and makes a goalshot. The team that scores 10-15-20-15 goals wins the match

Shooting Rotations: Coming from the back court

Blue 1 starts the move by feeding the ball in from the wing to blue 2. Blue 2 then plays a 1-2 pass with blue 3 who runs onto the pass and shoots on goal. Defender may only try to block the shot : do not come forward!
