Blue players pass the ball around the grid, always throwing the ball in front of the player so that they have to meet the ball.
The green players in the middle must work together to move forwards and challenge for the ball. After one player has contested (against players 3, 4, 5 or 6) they must cross-over and be ready to challenge for the ball again against the player on the opposite side of the square.

To make the drill more live blue players can choose which direction to pass the ball around the grid and green players are allowed to try and win the ball - if they successfully tackle the ball they swap places with the outside player.
