Rounders: Running to the post

No more butterfingers! Don't leave it to chance - get your players to cover their team-mate's back and avoid gifting the other team easy runs through fielding fumbles!

One player starts outside the square with the ball the next player this player rolls the ball for the next player to runs out and gathers to throw the ball for the next player After each go it is important that the players return to the square.

1) rolls ball out a short distance. 2) runs in, underarm flicks to 1) who catches ball. 1) puts ball down, runs back and tags 3) then 2) rolls ball out. Repeat process until all have had a go.

The minimum players required for this practice is 5 4 cones or posts and 1 ball. The player start ting of with the ball (white 1) has to throw the ball to the red 1. Red one has to then throw via red 3 to the white 3 who has to touch the post with the ball. the aim for whit player 1 is to try and get to the post on the other side before the ball does. After each race the practice reverse and starts again going to opposite way

This Drill is where the 2nd player in the line rolls the ball into the field for the 1st player in the line to gather and throw at the fielder at 4th post.

The 4th post player then throws the ball to the new 2nd player in the line whom repeats the exercise.
