Basic grip

Holding the Stick Place your left hand at the top of stick and right hand at the bottom of the stick. Grips will change for different skills performed. When you are moving off the ball, the stick should be carried in front of the body with the head pointing to the ground ready to make contact with the ball.

Bring the left hand about 6 inches down the stick, and then bring the right hand up to meet it.

Hold the stick in two hands with the flat side facing upwards. This is the grip for a reverse sweep.
