The sit and reach is a test of flexibility, defined as the range of motion about a body joint.
Set Up:

Procedure:
The participant removes their shoes, sits with straight legs having their feet against th sit and reach box.
The participant moves forward trying to reach as far as possible (without bouncing), holding the position momentarily.
The participant's knees must be kept straight, the tester can hold their kness to ensure that they don't bend their knees.
The paricipant must push the device with both hands, discount any effort one one hand is reaching further than the other.
The best of three attempts is recorded.
